I am fascinated by their adornments and their grooming. The Himba seem - especially their women - to be like walking sculptures, just stunning. I just noticed you have only photos of women and of children. Were there no men?

Yes, the morning I visited that village are the man was away. They are breeders, and they move away often looking for some far pastures.

How did you get to photograph these people? I guess you didn't have a common language, right?

It is a mixture of butter fat, ochre, and herbs.
I had a guide with me that spoke the Himba's language. He bring me to this village, and he was doing the interpreter.
